Remedial Massage
Remedial
massage aims to locate and help repair damaged, knotted, tense or immobile muscles
and tendons. It works by knowledge of the muscular system, how it responds to
touch and by enhancing the body's own healing process. The therapist assesses
the body in a wholistic manner and takes into consideration possible causation
and contributing factors.
Benefits

- Improved lymphatic flow
- Reduced pain and tightness in muscles

connective tissue

functioning

layers of muscle tissue

hyperirritable areas in soft tissue known as trigger points. Firm pressure is
applied until pain subsides and the muscle releases

of one muscle group whilst simultaneously relaxing and shortening the opposing
muscle group. Passive or PNF stretches are used
